Webinar on – “IMPACT OF VIRTUAL CLASSROOM ON STUDENTS' MENTAL HEALTH WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020”

A relevant Webinar session for the Students and Teachers was organised by JYOTIRMOY SCHOOL OF EDUCATION (JSE) on the topic- "IMPACT OF VIRTUAL CLASSROOM ON STUDENTS' MENTAL HEALTH WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020" scheduled on 24 July, 2021 at 2:00 PM.

In this Webinar, the Welcome address given by Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli, Founder and President of Jyotirmoy Education and Welfare Foundation. Dr. Ganguli extended his warm welcome speech to participants about the Students' Mental Health and Virtual Classes. He thanked Dr. Kausik Chatterjee, Associate Professor, Satyapriya Roy College of Education, Programme in charge, IGNOU & Co-ordinator, NAAC; Dr. Amit Chakrabarty, Counselling Psychologist, Mental Health Activist, Recipient of National Award of Science Popularization, 2020 and Smt. Baisali Basu (Roy Choudhury), Associate Professor and IQAC Co-ordinator, Govt. College of Education, Burdwan for being the speakers of the Webinar. He also appreciated the Principal Dr. Phalguni Bhuniya, Moderators Smt. Anindita Ghosh and Sri Santanu Mondal and Convenor Sri Surajit Saha and all the members of organising committee also for their effort for arranging such Webinar.

The introductory address given by Dr. Phalguni Bhuniya, Principal, Jyotirmoy School of Education. He explained the importance of the topic and thanked all the speakers present at the Webinar.

All the speakers in the webinar presented their motivational speech very nicely. First speaker Dr. Kaushik Chatterjee presented his valuable speech on 'Impact of virtual classroom of students' Mental Health with special reference to National education Policy 2020', Second speaker Dr. Amit Chakraborty presented his valuable speech on 'Impact of pandemic on students Mental Health" and Smt. Baishali basu (Roy Chaudhari) presented her valuable speech on 'Issues and Problems of Virtual Learning-Teaching experiences in recent pandemic situation, with special reference to language and literature based subjects.' Following the lecture, there was a 15 minutes interactive session in which the attendees shared their questions, thoughts and opinions on the discussed topic.

It was a magnificent opportunity to bring together 391 participants in zoom meeting platform from various States and Union territories of India notably Punjab, Hariyana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, jharkhand, Assam, Odisha, Sikkim, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Uttrakhand, Chandigarh, Puducherry, Jammu and Kashmir and others. All the participants enjoyed the Webinar. The Jyotirmoy school of education would like to thank Dr. Kaushik Chatterjee, Dr. Amit Chakraborty and Smt. Baisali Basu for their stimulating and valuable speech and their great support. The value of their participation as a resource person cannot be overstated.
